HELPING THE PLANET
Here at The Princess and the Frock, we are very passionate about the environment. All items are ethically produced in the UK, our fabrics are designed within the UK and we ensure they are ethically printed. The envelopes and tags we use are 100% recyclable and the tissue paper and twine is biodegradable.
We also encourage you to pass on your Princess and the Frock Dress (to siblings, friends, charity shops etc), once your little one has outgrown it. Our dresses are made to last and we would love them to continue finding homes for new children to enjoy.
Please note our last order date for guaranteed UK Christmas delivery is the 10th December! We will have some ready to post items available after this date, but to ensure you get the size and design you want we recommend ordering before the 10th!

WHO MADE YOUR CLOTHES?
This week is Fashion Revolution week and we encourage everyone to ask the question – who made my clothes?
Fashion Revolution is a global movement, calling for a fairer, safer, cleaner, more transparent fashion industry. Everything at The Princess and the Frock is made by me, Claire. I design and cut my own patterns, sew the clothes and add the finishing touches, from my home studio here in the Rossendale valley. I assure you I have ethical working conditions. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for many fashion brands. This week, and every week, we ask you to think about your chosen clothing brand and ask where their clothes are made and under what conditions – you deserve to know.
We are proud to announce we have a very special dress, made in support of The Lullaby Trust. For every ‘Esther Hope‘ dress sold, The Princess and the Frock will donate £4 to The Lullaby Trust, in memory of Matilda Mae.
Our new collection with Florrie and Max is now available! Featuring leggings and dresses, all made from the softest jersey cotton. We have dinosaurs, stars, monsters, bears and much more! Head over to Florrie and Max now!
We have four new party dress designs! Head over to the Party Dress page now to see stripes, flowers and whimsical unicorns! All available up to age 12 years!
Who makes your clothes?
Do you know who makes your clothes? There is a reason why some high street clothes are so cheap! Channel 4’s documentary ‘Undercover – Britain’s Cheap Clothes’, investigates the low wages certain high street retailers pay their manufacturers. In order to compete with cheaper producing countries such as China and Bangladesh, they are unable to pay the minimum wage.
Everything at The Princess and the Frock is designed and produced in ethical working conditions and we charge a fair price for the work involved. We do not mass produce, so every item you buy is made with love and care.
Watch the documentary on Channel 4, Monday 23 January at 8pm or here on catch up.

We are happy to announce we have increased our age range to 12 years, on certain styles!
